#LEGENDS aims to bring big band jazz to the Twitter generation.
The living legends of jazz are coming together at Avatar Studios in Manhattan to record a new EP for DulceTone Recordings.
The album, appropriately titled “#LEGENDS,” will be released late this summer and is the first project from the newly formed DulceTone Recordings. Christian Josi, taking on lead vocals, is joined by award-winning and legendary jazz musicians.
Signed on to the album are the artists Mike Renzi, a 7-time Emmy winner and musical director; Freddy Cole, younger brother of Nat King Cole; Bucky Pizzarelli, master guitarist and long-time studio and concert musician; and Antonia Bennett, vocalist and daughter of legendary singer Tony Bennett.
The talent on “#LEGENDS” isn’t reserved for the musicians. Jim Czak, a long time recording engineer who has worked with some of the greatest artists on hundreds of albums, will be helming this project.
“We’ve brought together some of the best, if not the best, artists in the business,” said Jeff Davis, co-founder of DulceTone Recordings. “This album will be loaded with talent.”
“#LEGENDS” will be available on CD and iTunes for digital download next month.
